On behalf of Pelican Denmark Holding ApS, Basico is searching for an independent and experienced Financial Accountant for a newly established position in the company’s Finance department.
As Financial Accountant you will report to the company’s Group Financial Controller and become part of a team of currently five helpful colleagues who are willing to engage in sparring and to help bring the best out in each other, just as the culture is characterized by cooperation, knowledge sharing and job satisfaction.
You will get an independent responsibility for your own tasks related to month-end closing and General Ledger bookkeeping, treasury, audit, statutory reporting and filing, and together with your team colleagues you will be responsible for ensuring an efficient and reliable accounting practice and for helping optimize and streamline processes.
Your responsibilities and tasks
Moreover, you will be expected to assist with the internal audit and external year-end audit as well as with the compilation of annual reports.
In the position, it will be possible for you to bring the experience already held into play as well as to acquire new professional competences. In addition to the regular monthly tasks, you will also get a chance of taking part in various projects.
You have a Bachelor degree in Finance or equivalent and you have several years’ working experience from a similar position as an Accountant, possibly combined with a couple of years’ auditing experience.
You have broad bookkeeping experience and a good understanding of period accounting, multi-currency and inter-company transactions. You have a good PnL and balance sheet understanding and, possibly, reporting experience.
You have worked in an international global environment and are comfortable managing day-to-day transaction and accounting tasks as well as delivering accurate, relevant and timely financial information to management and other stakeholders.
Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or Finance & Operations will be an asset, and you have good Excel skills.
As a person you are service-minded, structured and self-driven and have an analytical approach. You focus on details, can keep the overview and can prioritize your tasks and manage fluctuating workloads.
You are team-orientated and contribute to a positive social atmosphere in the team by being friendly and helpful by nature.
As the company is currently implementing new systems and reorganizing the group structure, it is important that you are flexible and adaptable to change.
As the office language is English, you must have strong communication skills in English, but it is also a requirement that you are fluent in Danish, and Finnish would be an advantage (but not requirement).
